# VIP Gateway Priority Settings

VIP Gateway Priority Settings in digiRunner allow users to prioritize API requests from VIP clients (high-value users) over regular clients. This ensures that during periods of high traffic or system stress, VIP clients access services faster and more reliably, enhancing their user experience and maintaining critical operations.

## Configuring VIP Gateway Priority

### **Access API Client Management**

Go to **API Client Management** in the digiRunner Admin Console.

### **Update API Client Priority**

1. Select the client you want to assign VIP priority to, and click on the ![](/files/ytmNQk9OYytME4GtzPXS) icon to access the update page.

2. Locate the **Priority** option, and adjust the priority level to ensure the client receives higher priority in the gateway compared to regular clients.

* **Priority:** The level determining the order in which this user can access the gateway during periods of network congestion.

{% hint style="warning" %}
In this field, 0 indicates the highest priority, and 9 indicates the lowest.
{% endhint %}

If you don't have an API client or require more information, please refer to [API Client](/guide/client-management/api-client.md).
